Lighting
Lighting is a big deal! The image quality is all about the quality of light; the type of light, the angle of light, the light source, and the number of lights. The right lighting ensures that we have a good image to capture and eliminates the need for expensive post production color work. Sometimes events happen too quickly or we don't have the budget for a lighting crew and
equipment. In this before & after example, you can see the results of 5 hours of computer processing time to render color filters in post prodcution. We had limited lighting options and a long shot to capture this images, so we used small floodlights to boost the limited ambient light enough that it would pick up on the camera. In post production, we used color editing filters to enhance the color balance, hue, saturation, contrast, luminosity, etc. Lighting the stage is always the best option,
but in a pinch we have the tools to improve on a bad situation.
Here is a sample of lighting in a controled environment, without the benifit of colour work in post edit.
